knit mario quilt - mario in raccoon suit
My boyfriend and i are getting a new place in may, and we are both HUGE nintendo geeks…we also both enjoy making things.
I have already quilted a kirby pillow so i figured i’d make an awesome blanket next.
every other square will have a character, and the rest will be solid white & light blue
Until my spring break i won’t really be able to work on this, but i’ve finished the charts for:
-Racoon suit mario
-a Boo
-a Koopa
more pictures as it progresses.

mistakes on purpose & Ushanka hat
So for our major project this semester we have to design an iPhone app that doesn't exist...and right now i am knitting mistakes on purpose for some of the required images for my app...and it's absolutely killing me. I'm one of those OCD knitters that, even for the tiniest mistakes, will rip out half of my stitches to fix them. Putting them there on purpose and then leaving them there is horrific to my brain.
The worst part is that since this project is due in under 2 weeks, i have to work on it constantly instead of finishing the baby Ushanka hat i designed for my sister's baby which is due on the 23rd. it's super adorable and i'm totally going to make it in a larger size once my assignments are finished.

Quilted kirby pillow
for my first quilting project i decided to keep it simple and make a pillow.
...and then i decided to go to my super-geek roots and make it @#$%ing awesome.
so i went to Spriters-resource.com & found a bunch of photos of kirby (incidentally my preferred smash bros. character) & took an area of his face; this was the end result.
clearly not perfect, but it's none too shabby for my first try
