Freebie Friday: Möbius headband

It's Freebie Friday!

Möbius Headband Pattern in Seed Stitch (Newborn - Adult)

For this pattern, I am not going to give you a specific number of stitches to cast on as I am providing you with measurements to follow for different sizes. Please use your gauges to create the correct size! pictured: Newborn size.

Width
Newborn - 12 month: 2.5"
Child to Adult: 3.5 - 4" (or greater if you like your headbands wide)

length
Newborn: 14"
6 months: 16"
12 Months: 18"
Child/Teenager: 20"
Adult: 22"
Large Adult: 24"

Cast on the appropriate number of stitches to obtain your gauge, making sure it is an odd number of stitches and follow this stitch pattern:
*K1, P1* across, K1
Turn and repeat until your piece measures the correct length for your size.
Cast off.

note: If you're like me and don't enjoy doing very short rows you can always knit it lengthwise and cast off once you've reached the appropriate number of Rows to gain the width.

To create the mobius turn, hold the beginning and ends together as if you were to join in a normal headband (just a standard loop). Flip one side over once*.
*If that vague description doesn't make sense think of it like this: If you held your two hands together, palm to palm, you would turn your top hand so both palms face upward.
Now you can sew the ends together.

(please note, you will have to sew in your ends when all finished. I hadn't come to that point yet when I took this photo.)
